HOMEWORK
Your child will receive a Homework/ Communication Folder. It will be very important that you check this folder every night. Homework will be sent home Monday-Thursday in the Homework folder. After completing an assignment, your child is to put their homework back into the folder and return it to school. Along with homework, many important papers will be sent home and put into this folder. Please clear your child's folder and put it back into your child's backpack each night.
*Please remember that homework is meant to help your child practice new and old (review) skills. Please do not do the work for them. You have already been to kindergarten-they have not.
OUR HOMEWORK SCHEDULE:
Monday: Sight Word Practice: Please have your child cut out their
new 5 words weekly. Help them to
study these words daily.
*Please refer to handout given to you
at open house for more fun ideas to
help them learn their words.
Tuesday: Handwriting: Practice handwriting with the letter of the
week worksheet.
Wednesday: Math: Worksheet on the skill we are on or review
of a past skill.
Thursday: Phonics: Children will complete a phonics activity/
worksheet.
