Welcome Kindergarten Families!

About The Teacher : 

I begin my 13th year of teaching with the 2007-2008 school year. I have been with the Middleton Elementary team since 2004. I have also taught 2nd grade,4th grade science, 1st grade, and Pre-K. I earned my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Maryland, my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from McDaniel College, and I hold my Administrative/Supervision Certification. I am also a National Board Teacher Candidate  awaiting my scores.  I am involved in the School Improvement Team, and PBIS Team (Positive Behavioral Intervention Supports), Literacy Nights,and our team is in the validation process for our Kindergarten classrooms.

I am married and I have four children.  My oldest son  is 15 and is a sophomore in High School. I also have a daughter in 8th grade and two sons that attend Arthur Middleton Elementary.  All of my children attend Charles County Public Schools, as did my husband and myself. I went to Arthur Middleton from kindergarten through 4th grade!          

I enjoy being a mom, reading, spending time with my friends     
and family,traveling,shopping, working out,trying new foods, going to the  
movies, and I especially love the beach!
